We all follow skin care routine for face and hands but we often neglect foot care routine. Our feet beauty is equally important, beautiful feet gives you a confidence to wear any kind of footwear. We always feel confident and flaunt our feet if they are healthy, perfect and smooth. So as many of us can't go for regular pedicure, we can follow easy home remedies to keep our heals, feet healthy and smooth.
To take care of your feet you need to follow some tips regularly. I am segregating it to two parts for easy care that is daily routine and weekly routine. So lets discuss daily routine first.
Daily Foot Care Routine
Step 1 : Wash
To wash your feet, take a tub and add little amount of Shampoo in warm water and then use it to wash your feet. Dip your feet in this water for some time and wash your feet. You need to clean your feet completely especially between the toes and heal.
Step 2 : Scrub
After washing use a pumice stone to scrub your heals and remove the dead skin cells and the dirt completely. Rub the pumice stone in circular motion gently on the top and bottom of your feet. And then again dip your feet in the warm water that you prepared in step 1 and wash them again. This will leave clean and clear feet.
Step 3 : Moisturise
After washing dry your feet with a soft towel, remember to dry it out completely otherwise it will promote fungal infection. Then after drying out, use a good foot moisturiser or body lotion or coconut oil to moisturise your feet completely including top and bottom of your feet.
These three simple steps if you follow daily will give you smooth and naturally beautiful feet.
Weekly Foot Care Routine
Step 1 : Wash your feet.
Add little amount of shampoo in warm water and dip your feet in it for some time. You can also add some drops of essential oil (tea tree oil, lavender oil or peppermint oil) of your choice to pamper your feet. Then later rinse your feet to wash them completely.
Benefit of adding essential oil
Step 2 : Scrub your feet
You can use any good foot scrub or home made foot scrub to scrub your feet. Apply the scrub all over your feet then massage it in circular motion for 5-10 mins. Then wash your feet with warm water.
Step 3 : Remove Dead Skin
Use a filer or pumice stone to remove the dead skin skin cells from your feet. Rub the pumice stone all over your feet gently in circular motion this will increase the blood circulation in your feet and gives a pinkish glow to your feet.
Step 4 : Massage your feet
Dry your feet completely then apply a good foot cream or a body lotion or coconut oil onto your feet and massage for some times. Massage the skin around nails, between the toes and heals especially. This will increase the blood circulation and give glow to the skin of your feet and also it will repair skin damages in your feet to keep them healthy and glowing.
Step 5 : Trim your toe nail.
Trim your toe nails and remove the dirt if any. Also trim the in grown nails other wise it will be painful. Regular trimming and filing of nails is very important for your feet to look good.
Step 6 : Nail Paint and Remover
Remove the nail paint from your feet using a good vitamin E rich nail paint remover and let your nails breath for some time. Then apply apply base coat of your nailpolish and wait for some time then apply the second coat of nail paint.
